South Tynesider claims £1m Lotto jackpot
A LUCKY South Tynesider is quids in after claiming an outstanding £1,000,000 lottery prize.
The cash was from a EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle draw on Friday, March 1.
Bosses from Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, which runs The National Lottery, previously urged the borough’s residents to check their old tickets after it was revealed the winning numbers were bought in South Tyneside.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, has now received their prize.
A National Lottery spokesman said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.
“It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-changing amount of money.
“We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.” |
