一家计划在萨摩亚开设赌场的中国公司主席兼首席执行官因贪污而被指控。

成都会展旅游集团已经从萨摩亚有关部门获取了执照，来打造一座500间房的度假村，其中包括赌场。该公司曾参与中国各地的大型酒店发展项目。

然而，根据中国媒体报道，主席邓鸿和他的首席执行官员正因为涉及土地交易贪污而被调查。有关部门反贪污官员从3月起就将邓鸿羁押。

“我很失望，”萨摩亚总理Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi说道。“此时此时我们唯一能做的就是等待和观望。”该有关部门很谨慎也很乐观，认为该项目还会继续下去。

Chinese execs behind Samoa casino accused

The chairman and chief executive of a Chinese company planning a casino in Samoa have been accused of corruption.

Chengdu Exhibition and Tourism Group has been granted a licence by the Samoan government to create a 500-room resort, including a casino. The company has been involved in big hotel and development projects across China.

However, according to Chinese media reports, chairman Deng Hong and his chief executive are being investigated over corruption linked to land deals. Communist Party anti-corruption officials have kept Hong in custody since March.

"I am disappointed," said Samoan Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi. "What transpires at the present moment has something to do with domestic politics so all we can do is wait and see." The government is cautiously optimistic that the project will still go ahead.
