After wading through 204 players, including Nam Le, Khac Trung Tran has become the latest Asian Poker Tour champion and the recipient of $124,000.
The $2,700 Philippines Main Event took four days to set a final table and when the action kicked off yesterday it looked as though Nam Le was going to walk away with the title.
Being the most decorated player in the final, Le wasted no time in asserting his authority over the table. Indeed, during the first hand of play he got involved in a pre-flop raising war with Sekiya Yosuke that eventually ended when Le’s five-bet forced Yosuke to fold.
With an aggressive tone now set, the eliminations came thick and fast and before long it was Le who was heading for the exit.
After one pre-flop bluff too many, he finally found himself all-in with Kc 8d against the As Kd of Tran. An unhelpful board transpired and when the river card finally fell he found himself out in 4th place with a consolation prize of $34,800.
From there Tran was able to control the tournament and after finding himself heads-up with Thang Truong it took just two hands for the title to be decided.
After moving all-in with Qh Js, Tran was able to hit a pair of jacks on the flop, before making a full house on the turn and rive to best Truong’s Ac 6s. With that the match was over and Tran added his name to the ever-growing list of APT champions.作者: hmoi6hdfkh 时间: 2015-11-25 23:10
